French Language
Chosen by Mae Carden herself for its deep influence on the English language, French study
begins as early as Preschool and continues through 5th Grade, giving students a strong
foundation in linguistic awareness and global appreciation.
In the early years, students delight in learning through songs, games, and storytelling that build
vocabulary and pronunciation naturally. They greet one another in French, learn colors, numbers,
and common phrases, and begin to associate language with joy and connection. As they move
through the grades, instruction becomes progressively more advanced with the introduction of
grammar, sentence structure, and verb conjugations.
French lessons are taught through a combination of teacher-led instruction and interactive
technology using Rosetta Stone for Schools, which allows students to practice listening,
speaking, reading, and writing at their own pace. This dual approach ensures fluency,
comprehension, and confidence in real-world communication.
