School Uniforms
Free Dress Guidelines
Free dress days are privileges and must still reflect the modesty, decorum, and safety expectations of the
School. Clothing must be appropriate for a school environment. Shorts and skirts must reach fingertip
length. Shirts may not expose the midriff, shoulders (unless otherwise specified), undergarments, or
inappropriate graphics. Clothing may not contain slogans, graphics, or messaging that is political,
suggestive, violent, profane, or inconsistent with School values.
Athletic wear, leggings as pants (unless covered appropriately), pajama attire, slippers, ripped denim, crop
tops, or revealing clothing are not permitted unless explicitly authorized for a themed day. The School
reserves the right to determine what is appropriate for free dress and may require a student to change
clothing if deemed necessary.
Labeling & Personal Responsibility
All clothing items, outerwear, lunch containers, and backpacks must be clearly labeled with the student’s
name. The School is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or damaged items. Unclaimed items in lost and
found may be donated after a reasonable period of time. Students are responsible for maintaining their
uniform throughout the school day, including proper tucking of shirts, securing ties, and wearing required
items.
Non-Compliance & Enforcement
Uniform compliance is considered part of a student’s responsibility and citizenship. Students who arrive out
of uniform may receive:
A verbal reminder
Parent notification
Requirement to change clothing
Loss of privileges
A conduct mark
Repeated violation review
If a student repeatedly fails to comply with uniform standards, a parent conference may be required. Chronic
non-compliance may be considered a behavioral issue subject to disciplinary review. The School reserves
sole discretion in matters of interpretation and enforcement of the uniform policy.
