Parking & Driving Safety
The safety of our students, families, faculty, and visitors begins before a child ever steps onto campus. For
this reason, all drivers entering Carden Conejo School property are expected to exercise extreme caution,
patience, and full compliance with campus traffic procedures at all times. Campus driving is a shared
responsibility. Failure to follow established procedures places children at risk and will not be tolerated.
Speed Limit & Safe Driving Expectations
The campus speed limit is 5 miles per hour at all times. Drivers must proceed slowly and cautiously,
remaining alert for pedestrians, especially children who may be exiting vehicles or crossing between cars.
Drivers are expected to:
Yield to all pedestrians immediately and without exception.
Refrain from using mobile phones while driving on campus.
Avoid sudden stops, unsafe passing, or aggressive driving.
Follow all posted signs and staff directions without argument or delay.
Demonstrate patience and courtesy during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
Any reckless driving, speeding, unsafe maneuvering, or failure to comply with staff instructions may result in
administrative intervention and potential restriction of campus driving privileges.
Parking Lot Designations
To maintain clear supervision and protect student safety, parking areas are strictly designated as follows:
The Lower Lot is the only parking area available to parents and visitors during school hours.
The Upper Lot is reserved exclusively for faculty and staff. Parents and visitors are not permitted to park
in the Upper Lot at any time unless expressly authorized by Administration.
Parking in unauthorized areas constitutes a violation of campus safety protocol. Vehicles parked in restricted
areas may be subject to immediate direction from a campus supervisor, staff member, or campus safety
officer to relocate the vehicle. Drivers are expected to comply promptly and respectfully with all instructions.
Failure to move when directed, or repeated violations of parking restrictions, may result in warning notices,
restricted campus access privileges, or further administrative action as deemed appropriate by the School.
