Science
Science at Carden Conejo Middle School invites curiosity, imagination, and exploration. Students don’t
just learn about science, they experience it. Through the nationally recognized FOSS (Full Option
Science System) curriculum, our students engage in hands-on investigations that spark wonder and
deepen understanding. Each lesson challenges students to observe carefully, ask meaningful
questions, design experiments, and draw evidence-based conclusions. Science is both tactile and
intellectual, combining structured lab experiences with open-ended inquiry, field observation, and
cross-disciplinary projects that connect to math, technology, and the natural world. Across all years,
science is hands-on and interdisciplinary, connecting innovation, environmental stewardship, and
creativity. Students will transform their knowledge into action, as students will participate in the
Ventura County Science Fair.
