French
Carden’s French program is built on a focused commitment to making French language and culture
engaging and relevant for every student. Students will experience French through a rich,
communicative approach that brings language to life. Vocabulary and grammar are introduced with
context, supported by captivating visuals, authentic readings, videos, and films that immerse
students in francophone cultures around the world. Concepts are continuously practiced in
purposeful, real-world encounters. The curriculum includes enrichment libraries with carefully
selected trade books to extend unit themes and strengthen literacy skills. Instruction is supported
by an intuitive digital platform, fully integrated with the student text. Through this immersive and
thoughtfully designed program, students develop strong language proficiency, cultural awareness,
and confidence as global learners.
Spanish
Designed to build strong communicative proficiency through rich, culturally meaningful
experiences. Students follow an integrated graphic-novel storyline that makes vocabulary and
grammar come alive, traveling virtually through diverse regions of the Spanish-speaking world while
strengthening listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. Authentic dialogues, informational
and literary readings, interpretive videos, and projects grounded in real-world contexts help
students use language purposefully and confidently. The curriculum includes structured review and
assessment, encouraging progress in all language domains, as well as supplementary digital
resources like interactive activities, cultural media, and communicative performance tasks—that
support personalized learning. Seamless textbook-to-technology integration ensures students have
