Introduction To Dance
Introduction to Dance is an energetic and expressive course that introduces students to the
fundamentals of movement, rhythm, and performance across multiple dance styles. Students explore
basic techniques from contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, and creative movement while building coordination,
flexibility, strength, and confidence. The course emphasizes self-expression, collaboration, and creative
exploration, allowing students to develop body awareness and artistic voice in a supportive
environment. Through structured practice, choreography, and performance opportunities, students gain
an appreciation for dance as both an art form and a powerful means of communication.
Acting Fundamentals
Acting Fundamentals introduces students to the essential skills of performance, helping them develop
confidence, creativity, and communication through the art of acting. Students explore voice, movement,
improvisation, character development, and scene work while learning how to collaborate effectively
and respond authentically in performance. Through theater games, scripted scenes, and guided
practice, students build focus, self-awareness, and expressive ability in a supportive and encouraging
environment. The course fosters empathy, imagination, and discipline, empowering students to step
into new perspectives and share their voice both on stage and in everyday life.
Vocal Ensemble
Vocal Ensemble is an engaging, performance-based music course that develops students’ vocal
technique, musical literacy, confidence, and collaborative skills. Through a diverse repertoire of
classical, contemporary, and multicultural music, students strengthen pitch, tone, rhythm, and
harmony while learning proper breathing, diction, and stage presence. Emphasis is placed on
teamwork, active listening, and expressive communication as students rehearse and perform both as
individuals and as part of a cohesive ensemble. The course culminates in several performances,
allowing students to showcase their growth, discipline, and love of music. Vocal Ensemble nurtures
creativity, self-expression, and confidence while building lifelong appreciation for the art of singing.
