Building Strong Foundations
As children grow into Transitional Kindergarten, the program becomes a joyful bridge between preschool and
elementary school, where curiosity meets growing confidence. Students begin to strengthen early literacy and
math skills while continuing to learn through hands-on exploration, creativity, and meaningful play. Through
phonics, storytelling, early writing, number sense, science discovery, art, music, and movement, children develop
the academic readiness, independence, and social confidence needed for Kindergarten—all within a warm,
structured environment that nurtures both intellect and character.
Creative Expression & Movement and Motor Skills
Students explore art, music, storytelling, and imaginative play as powerful ways to express ideas and emotions.
Through drawing, painting, dramatic play, singing, and creative projects, children develop confidence and
creativity. Daily movement activities—such as dancing, outdoor play, building, and structured games—help
strengthen coordination, balance, and fine motor skills needed for writing and classroom tasks.
Growing Confidence & Independence
Transitional Kindergarten students begin to take greater ownership of their learning and daily routines. With
supportive guidance, children practice organization, self-help skills, and problem-solving while learning to
complete tasks, follow multi-step directions, and take pride in their accomplishments.
Social-Emotional Growth
Children learn to communicate their feelings, resolve small conflicts, and build meaningful friendships. Through
collaboration, group activities, and thoughtful guidance, students practice empathy, cooperation, and emotional
awareness while developing the confidence to ask questions, share ideas, and participate fully in classroom life.
Character & Community
Students learn the importance of respect, responsibility, and kindness. Through daily classroom interactions and
teacher modeling, children practice listening, taking turns, helping others, and contributing positively to their
community—building the foundation for integrity, wisdom, and strong citizenship.
